Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cube butter
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 lb pre-cooked pork sausage
  • 1 lb cheddar cheese
  • 12 eggs
  • 1 qt milk
  • 1-1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Spread butter all over the inside of the dutch oven.
  2. Tear bread into pieces.
  3. Break sausage into pieces.
  4. Grate cheese.
  5. In a bowl, beat eggs, milk, dry mustard, and salt.
  6. Layer the bread, sausage, and eggs into the dutch oven.
  7. Cover and Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Pour cheese over top of casserole.
  9. Bake another 10-15 minutes until cheese forms a light-brown crust on top of cooked eggs.
