I am going to try to make "Pop Tarts" in my pie iron.

Here is my idea...

Two slices of buttered bread. On one side of the bread I am going to coat it with sugar. This side goes against the metal of the pie iron. I will then put strawberry jelly on the inside of the bread. Then bake!

I am hoping that the sugar melts and gets crispy on the outside and the jelly gets good and hot inside the bread!
