  • Large Portabella Mushroom Cap
  • Slab of Mozzarella Cheese
  • Butter


  1. Generously butter each half of the pie iron.
  2. Place the mushroom cap between the irons and sear over the fire for a few minutes on each side. (You can’t really over cook these).
  3. Open the irons and place a slab of mozzarella cheese on the underside of the mushroom cap.
  4. Close the irons for a couple of minutes until the cheese is melted.
